Favre Finally Hangs Up the Cleats
Brett Favre told the Jets that he was retiring on Wednesday. He would have had to undergo surgery on his shoulder after injuring it during the season. He decided that it wasn't worth it. Favre had a hall of fame career with the Green Bay Packers, before retiring last year and then coming back to the league with New York Jets. He had a less than stellar 08-09 season with the Jets. Favre is 39 and was one of the greatest to ever play football.
