The finalist Mariana Bridi da Costa died after the infection, that already claimed her hands and feet resulting in amputation, consumed her whole body.
Last week you heard about Mariana Bridi da Costa. She was the Miss World finalist that had to have both her feet and hands amputated because she contracted a deadly bacterial infection. The infection was extremely drug resistant and at first was misdiagnosed as kidney stones.
By the time her doctors started treatment it was too late. The infection spread to her entire body. 20-year old Mariana died Saturday.
